Friends

A friend is someone or something whom you know well and you are fond of. He, she or it may be an alley, supporter or sympathizer. When both of you are in the state of being friends or both of you have mutual attachment to each other, you have created a thing that is what we call friendship.
It is a great feeling to have a friend who cares. It does not come naturally. There are some good friends and people that only pretended to be your friends.
There are some characteristics that help in identifying a good friend. A good friend can be trusted because friends do not tell your secrets. They are honest with you. You do not have to worry that they are talking behind your back. A good friend stands for you because real friends do not make fun of you in front of other people. They are on your side. They will be there for you no matter what happens. A good friend cares about you because friends put your needs ahead of their own. They understand when things are not going well, and they try to help you. A good friend accepts you because in real friendship, things like skin color, family background or culture do not even matter. They accept you, and you would accept them.
If there are characteristics that help in identifying a good friend, there are also characteristics that help in identifying a bad friend. A bad friend pressures you into doing things that are not right. He or she insults you, judges you and gossips about you. He or she does not care about what you have to say. He or she does not support what is important to you. He or she tries to control how you act and think. He or she tells lies about you behind your back. If a friend starts doing thes things, it is a big signal for you to find another friend because having no friend is better than having a bad friend. One way to say it better is that it is the characteristics of a friend that determines wether they would make a good friend or not.
Friends are important because we rely everything on them. If we have problems and frustrations, we depend on them and we do the same to them. Whenever we are sad, they make us laugh and cast away all our tears and fears. Friends are important because we can talk to them anytime. A true friend does not leave us no matter what happens, they are always there in times of troubles and dangers. Friends are important because without them, we would be lonely and we do not have someone or something that could rely on. Other people treat their friends already as a family member. In Telenovelas, the usual situation is a fdriend leaves his or her other friend but when they grow up, they meet each other again. Sometimes, a girl friend meets his boy friend when they grow up and they live with each other.
