My experiences during the Intramural 2006 were very enjoyable, interesting and significant.
The Intramural was opened by a program. There was a parade from the University of the Philippines to the Lahug Elementary School. After the parade, the students were gathered again at the campus. There was the introduction of the different year levels. The Freshies were named as the Fabulous Freshies, the Sophies were named as the Scourging Sophies, the Juniors were named as the Juniors Kilat and the Seniors were named as the Extra Hot Seniors. The representatives of each year levels were called in order to light the torch. After the lighting of the torch, the muse, the escort and the representatives of each year levels were called in order to raise the banner. After all, the Freshies were declared as the winner, followed by the Sophies, then by the Juniors and lastly by the Seniors. After the raising of the banner, the search for Mr. And Ms. Intramural began. Each candidates were asked a question related to sports and every pairs of each year levels were asked to perform a certain sport in order to show their talents. After the contest, the third place were the muse from the Freshies and the escort from the Sophies, the second place were the muse from the Sophies and the escort from the Freshies, the first place were the muse from the Juniors and the escort from the Seniors and the winner were the muse from the Seniors and the escort from the Juniors. After the contest, the cheer dance competition began. The participants have to choreograph their yells and they would dance the music that they have chose. The participants are too energetic. After the contest, the Sophies won the third place, the Freshies won the second place, the Seniors won the first place and the Juniors were the winner. After the program the competition for the different sports began. The sports were classified into two, the major and minor sports. Some example of the major sports are Volleyball, Soccer, Soccer-Baseball, Softball and Basketball. The minor sports are Badminton, Table Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and Dama. The game for the Volleyball was held at the Open Court. The game for the Soccer was held at the Open Field. The game for the Soccer-Baseball and Softball was held at the Arts and Science Field. The game for the Basketball and Badminton was held at the Covered Court. The game for the Table Tennis was held at the Arts and Science Lobby. And the game for the Scrabble, Chess and Dama was held at the Physics Laboratory. As a closing for the event, there was a program held at the Conference Hall. There was a contest for the Musicals. There was a contest for the Solo Singing, Duet Singing and Doble Kara. The Seniors won the Solo Singing while the Freshies won the Duet Singing and the Doble Kara. After the contest, there was an announcement for the over all champion, first place, second place and the third place. The over all champion was the Seniors, followed by the Juniors, Then by the Sophies and lastly by the Freshies.
